The Spirit Clip

An official clip of the Spirit has been released by Lionsgate:

The entire city is my weapon!

This clip reminds a bit too much of Sin City... Director Frank Miller should renew his style someday...

The Spirit Second Trailer

A second trailer of the Spirit has been released by Lionsgate. The Spirit is the upcoming movie adaptation of Will Eisner's comic book of the same name. It is directed by Frank Miller and is starring Gabriel Macht and Samuel L. jackson besides some other pretty actresses.

Here below The Spirit Trailer 2:

From the director of
300 and SIN CITY

THE SPIRIT

It is a well cut trailer: I mean obviously the footage of this Spirit trailer has been carefully selected to avoid the same negative reception as had the first Spirit trailer. No real weirdness this time: just basic action even if one may still see the underlying humor.

Frank Miller has been rather radical in his vision of Will Eisner's The spirit. I bet the movie will be entertaining. But will it be enough to drive people in mass to theaters?

The Spirit Bootleg Preview Clip

A bootleg version of one of the preview clips of The Spirit shown at the comic con has shown up online via the site Worst Previews. This clip of the Spirit features a scene by the gorgeous Eva Mendes as Sand Saref who is diving in order to escape from a big ugly fat guy who's shooting at her:

Removed at the request of Lionsgate.

But the web is damned resilient here:)...

This preview clip gives a surreal impression: this underwater scene is almost supernatural... I was really enthusiast after seeing the trailer of the Spirit but this clip does not look that great, and cannot put the blame on the bootleg quality...

An other clip of The Spirit from the comic con featuring a fight scene between the Spirit (Gabirel Macht) and the Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) has leaked online.

To watch this Samuel L. Jackson Spirit clip click on the picture below (video hosted by worst previews) or head to IO9:
I really appreciate this tongue-in-cheek scene: it saves the movie from the underwater scene with Eva Mendes actually!

The Spirit Official Trailer

The full length trailer of the Spirit has been officially released after it leaked yesterday. A luddite company like Paramount would have stubbornly and vainly tried to take down from every site of the Internet. But Lionsgate, company in charge of distributing the Spirit, shows that it is much smarter: Many thanks to Lionsgate!

Here below the amazing official trailer of the Spirit (via yahoo Movie):

Frank Miller has made a great job: judging from this trailer of The Spirit I bet the movie is going to be a blockbuster.

No man could resist to such beautiful women! Besides even Samuel L. Jackson in his outfit of the Octopus is worth a look:
He is so funny in his role of crazy and twisted evil mastermind, the Octopus nemesis of the Spirit.

The soundtrack used for this trailer of the Spirit is really great. It is a song by Hybrid titled Choke:

Impatient to see the Spirit in my theater!

The Spirit Leaked Trailer

The full length trailer of the Spirit has leaked on the web (how such a good quality bootleg trailer of the spirit may have leaked ???). This new Spirit trailer is really stylized, even more so than Sin City.

here below the leaked trailer of The Spirit:

Take down notice from Lionsgate
If you have any questions please contact Lionsgate ;-p

The trailer of the Spirit is now officially available at:

--> The Spirit Official Trailer

I understand why the Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson, by the way does the Octopus sound like being gay?) asks to the Spirit (Gabriel Macht) what's with him and women! The Spirit get laid quite often it seems, and by gorgeous women: what a lucky bastard!

All in all I really appreciate this trailer: the music, the special effects, the text, the women! But I' m afraid that the artistic value of this trailer may not appeal to a wide public. I hope that Frank Miller upcoming movie The Spirit will not suffer from it.

The Spirit First Official Teaser Trailer

The Spirit, aka Will Eisner's The Spirit, is an upcoming film based on the comic book of the same name created by Will Eisner in 1940. Frank Miller who wrote the screenplay is also directing the movie. The Spirit stars Gabriel Macht in the role of the Spirit and Samuel L. Jackson as the Octopus, the Spirit's nemesis. The film, first slated for a January 2009 release, will finally be released for Christmas of December 2008.

Here below the first official teaser trailer of the Spirit:

The plot:
"Adapted from the legendary comic strip, THE SPIRIT is a classic action-adventure-romance told by genre-twister FRANK MILLER (creator of 300 and SIN CITY). It is the story of a former rookie cop who returns mysteriously from the dead as the SPIRIT (Gabriel Macht) to fight crime from the shadows of Central City. His arch-enemy, the OCTOPUS (Samuel L. Jackson) has a different mission: he’s going to wipe out Spirit’s beloved city as he pursues his own version of immortality." (Source: Production Team)

I hope they're not going to make a PG-13 movie with the Spirit.
The original comic book wasn't exactly PG-13 after all:

The Spirit Original Comic BookSo a 300% R-rated movie (with salacious hints ;-p) would be much more appropriate!
